Aarup a piece of rural dream

Aarup I think I have fallen in love with your.

Since being a child I have always been fascinated by the Danish way of life. I have spent many a childhood holidays here. Looking in awe on their castles and small cottage like houses. Being so picturesque. And loving it.

I had forgotten just how picturesque Denmark is. Very fairytale like. I really need to get me more often to Denmark.

And with my company hooked up all day, I got time to get around exploring the countryside of Aarup. And I wanted to do it properly, therefor the Danish way – by bike.

It must have been the warmest day we got here in Denmark, and I should have opted for the shorts and lighter top but non the less. A great work out session and an even better sightseeing around our Aarup neighborhood.

Aarup is located in Denmarks second biggest Island Fyn. And to give you an example of The Aarup landscape it could easily be described as Denmarks answer to Tuscany. The rolling hills and many secluded farms.

I loved it out here. Stayed for two nights and really could feel how the stress left my body. Got started on a book – and it has been ages since I felt I had the time to just sit and read. And the landscape I love.
