A weekend getaway to Croatia´s Capitol Zagreb is highly recommended. Just big enough as the country´s biggest city but small enough with just under one million inhabitants. I was on the lookout for cool breakfast places. In Zagreb that was a bit challenging as breakfast apparently is not a big thing. Still after a little bit of research I think I found the ultimate breakfast place – Kava Tava.

approximately 90 % of all people in Zagreb eat their breakfast at home (pretty much like us Norwegians). Luckily Kava Tava (Coffee and Pans) serves breakfast all day. Perfect for when you have been out all night long dancing or just need some good old comfort food or some food for those days when you just need a little sweet. Kava Tava has it all.

We were sold as fast as we got inside. The interior is super cool with little nooks in every corner decorated in different styles. There is even an seating area with plane seats.. I mean…. How cool is that?

The Mint tea was fantastic and perfect when you feel a little chill after walking outside for a while. But they have a big selection in Coffee and hot chocolate too. And don’t worry there is “normal” breakfast for you too.

Well worth a visit if you come to Zagreb.
