Everyday Life

.. It´s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It is kinda scary how the holiday season creeps up on ya. We are closing in on mid November and before you know it it is christmas eve and we are getting ready for a new year.

Cities and shopping sentres all over are getting ready for the holidays with christmas light and Christmas markets popping up. London just had it´s grand opening of the Oxford christmas lighting last week. I was in London but did not get to experience the lighting first hand.

Pre-retail, many years ago. I used to love the christmas season. It was my absolute favorite season of all despite not liking winter. There is something bright about the holidays. But working in retail have made it more stress and less fun. I usually find myself exhausted by the time christmas eve arrives. These past two years though I have made time to take some time off. I have spent them enjoying various Christmas Markets. Both local and international.

Mr. Santa himself showed up last year at the small but very cozy Christmas market in Aalborg, Denmark

Last year I went for a few Christmas markets in Denmark during a campaign NordicTB did in collaboration with Stena Line. That really brought my Christmas spirit back, big time. This year I am expanding and are experiences both Zagreb and Hamburg for the campaign #ChristmasInHamburg/#HolyHamburg.

And I simply can´t wait. If I find the time I even may take the train down to our own local version of the German markets.

A short weekend trip is all it takes and can make wonders for your christmas spirit. And I can really recommend taking one either as a couple, romantic trip or as a girl getaway. Either way I really recommend taking some time off these hectic times and enjoy some spirit time.
