Stay: Golden Tulip Krakow
I was not to make the same blunder again, getting a hotel to far off from the city centre. Therefor I made some time into planning the right kind of hotel for this girls getaway. I wanted a fresh modern stay with a close location to the old town Krakow. Enter the Golden Tulip Krakow.
Not knowing exactly where the Golden Tulip Krakow was located in distance from the main rail station we hopped into a cab and got it to drive us there for ca. 30 Zloty (the Polish currancy PLN). Being a Polish virgin we really had no idea on where to go, but I suspect the driver may have taken a longer route than necessary… It took us just as long to walk as the cab drive…

The hotel is somewhat anonymous when arriving, only visibly by the logo over the door. Placed a little outside the old town a mere 5 minute walk. But for us this was perfect. Met by perfect service, we were really early (10.30 Am, check in is as always 15 PM) but still got our room when checking in. Which made us take a little breather before heading out to explore.
Situated on the second floor a small but still spacious room. Fresh colors and it feels newly renovated. This is not a big hotel and it is a quiet area away from the main traffic. I slept like a baby.
If only there is a few things to pinpoint. The noise from the neighbors are easily heard unfortunately, and the elevators run really really slow. Opt for the stairs.
Our breakfast was included in the price but it does not include my very much needed cappuccino, so that would be an extra 6 Zloty.
We had a good 3 day stay here. And the service was really good. Nice and clean room and located at a good distance from the old town center. I would definitely come back to stay here again. And I really like that the hotel was so fresh and updated.
