The Streets of Manchester

I love to explore new cities. And finally I got out of London and headed North to explore Manchester a few hours. I think I kind of fell for you…

On my way to Lake District in Cumbria I came in and left from Manchester. I made sure to have a few hours available to explore. I hit the streets on this spring day as I prepared to return to Norway.

Manchester Downtown
Beautiful spring day. We couldn´t be any luckier with our visit. No time for resting though we had some shopping to to.. onwards. On my next visit I will make time for some rest and drink time. And to stay a couple of more days.

Manchester
Is it the end or the Entrance? It is for sure the Canal street without doubt. Where the gay´s are merry and there is constant fun. Loved the atmosphere here. Looked like a good time out

We came in on a Sunday and headed straight for the shops downtown. Did our business and went for lunch at the Northern Quarter. Manchesters hippie area and lucky for us they have a Sunday market there too.

The Northern quarter of Manchester is vibrant, creative and the heart of the urban. You will find many independent fashion and designer stores here. If you are looking for something unique, you may have come to the right place. This old industrial area are yet again raising and becoming very popular and a destination on it´s own.

See the streetart hidden under there? gorgeous. ❤️

I spent some time here alone walking the streets up and down looking for it´s street art. For some reason I love Street art. I find it hip, cool and very intriguing and I am in awe of some of these stunning pieces. Some state politics statements and some are just pure art.

I hope to make it back some time soon to explore even more of this great City. Next time skip London and head for Manchester and explore something new.

The trip to Manchester was in collaboration with LoveGreatBritainNO and VisitManchesterText and pictures are as always all mine.
