It has been a crazy couple of weeks and with working half of the day and crashing in the weekends. And then suddenly I get a week of work due to rebuilding that are taking some time….

What to do.. Well if it was up to me I would try to hop on a plane and head south. Because here in the south west of Norway (read jaeren) there is nothing that reminisce summer expect for the blue sky maybe.

With that in mind I thought back to my last trip back in April – going back to the Canary Islands – I still haven’t been writing much about that one. Here are some tips on what to to, if you find yourself in Meloneras.

1. The dunes of Maspalomas, (close enough to Meloneras)

A well known reservoir. And a definitive must. Be smart and dress properly and go a little further away then from the beach and you will get the perfect photo or selfie or both!

Visit the Sahara outside of Africa, yes because this is actual sand from The Sahara.

2. A walk down the beachwalk of Maspalomas/Meloneras.

Great views and a perfect route for a good evening stroll, mid day walk or a proper workout.

3. Faro – The lighthouse of Maspalomas.

The lighthouse lies on the border between Maspalomas and Meloneras, clearly well seen in the choices and look of the restaurants on each side of this landmark.

4. Be Romantic

Take to the moonlight cinema at the Meloneras. See a movie under the stars!

5. Drink a Sangria in the Meloneras sea breeze, and just enjoy.
