Traveling in style – Emirates, review
#sponsored
Finally I got to test out Emirates new flight Oslo-Dubai. I have been wanting to test this one ever since they opened last year. Emirates equals great service and luxurious travel style I have been told. And days before traveling to the United Arab Emirates I was told that I was getting an upgrade, flying from Oslo. Business class here I come.
A seven hour ride and spending it at Business is not bad at all. The experience starts already at the OSL lounge. What a great welcoming. Offering drinks, coffee and breakfast whatever you desire, a good start early in the morning. And I was, having taken the first flight out from Stavanger. And that meant having to wait it out a couple of hours at the airport. If you need any work done, this is a great way to spend your hours.
As part of this trip with the Emirates we got to board early, priority pass I love u. And off we headed, goodbye waiting in line. What a great experience. I wish every flight would be like this. (dreaming). It feels good to pass everybody in the waiting area even before the call for boarding. So this is what special service feels like. I could get use to this.
Flying business is great. You get your own little space, are greeted with champagne, Veuve Clicquot and snacks. Even the service is amped up to the little extra, there is no welcoming drinks at coach. I can only imagine what first class would be like.
Before heading off to warmer weathers, a visit to the first class is on the list. First class consist of 8 suites. YES they are called suites and have their very own number on the door. Fresh flowers and your very own compartments. Want to be alone – close those doors and relax. Leather chairs that go way down to form your very own bed. With a mattress, pillow and duvet. No need to feel unrested if you are part of this experience. Your very own minibar and for us ladies – a small makeup station. Man, I wish I am getting this true experience one day soon.
Back to business. My seven hour flight really went by quite fast. I have to say I am no fan of long hour flights and if I can I try to keep them at a maximum 5 hours. More, and I get really restless. But when served up with this much great food and entertainment, these hour flies.
They call it the Emirates experience, Business class dining with healthy options. And if you are curious about what they serve on your flight you can check it out before departing on the Emirates webpage.
After a good nice dinner I was ready to check out their entertainment system. With hundreds of movies I finally got updated on Frost and for the rest of my flight I tuned into some relaxing chill music and got ready for Dubai.
To bad the trip home will be in coach. I already miss the business class experience. Ah, Emirates, will meet again. On that I am sure.
This post was brought to you in partnership with Emirates and Dubai Tourism, the opinions, text and pictures are as always all mine.

@nettmunk

@nettmunk
